How it works
Nicorandil is a type of medicine called a potassium-channel activator. It works by relaxing and widening your blood vessels, which increases the supply of blood and oxygen to your heart. This helps reduce the chest pain and angina causes.

Drug Interactions
Hypotensive agents , PDE5 inhibitors , dapoxetine , NSAIDS , coticosteroids , drugs that increase k+ levels , alcohol, riocciguat.
Indication
Used for patients with chronic angina.
When not to Use
You are allergic (hypersensitive) to nicorandil or any of the other ingredients of this medicine .
PRECAUTIONS
Precaution
Talk to your doctor straight away if you notice any of the following serious side effects during treatment: Ulcers in your mouth, stomach, guts (small and large) or back passage. These may cause blood in your stools or vomit, a fistula (abnormal tube-like passage from one body cavity to another or to the skin), a hole, abscess or weight loss.
WARNINGS
Warning 1
Talk to your doctor before taking medicines for inflammation (corticosteroids) or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicines including aspirin, with Nicorandil . If taken together, you may be more likely to get ulcers .
Warning 2
Nicorandil Tablets are not recommended for use in children.
Warning 3
Do not take nicorandil if you have heart problems such as cardiogenic shock, or left ventricular failure with low filling pressure or cardiac decompensation.
